A new spectre is haunting the globalised world, the spectre of Ecofeminism. If Socialism and Communism represented the backbone of political invention between the 19th and 20th century, since the middle of the last century it has been Feminism and Ecofeminism – which on the other hand share some of the roots of the first two movements – that have taken on this task.
It is Ecofeminism in particular that is now at the centre of the neuralgic nodes that hold together the forces opposing global capitalism and the climate apocalypse.
