Theory and Criticism of Architecture and the Postmodern City

The postmodern city was designed by capitalism. In the contemporary world, we seem to find new ways of commodifying its inhabitants, its structures, and its material and cultural resources. In the era of globalisation and the climate crisis, these processes are unsustainable. Is there a possibility of reversing them? With which ideas, according to which practices, visions, projects? What are the working platforms and proposals currently under discussion?
How can we think of the 21st century city, quoting Henri Lefebvre, not as a “commodity” but as a “artwork” (oeuvre)?
